My First Step into Ratchaphruek Hospital

It started with a call from my teacher from Vancouver, Greg, telling that he was in good hands with many friendly nurses and really professional doctors. At first, I was worried about him being in the hospital, however I later learned that he honorably works as the Chief executive of International Patients Services at the Ratchaphruek Hospital. He described how exceptional the hospital is, therefore I decided to book a health checkup for my daughter and I to see for myself.

After staying in Chiang Mai for several days, we flew to Khon Kaen International Airport, where we were greeted by the hospital team along with the fresh breeze, despite expecting the humid and hot air of Thailand. We were escorted into a luxurious and spacious van as the transportation to Hotel Ad Lib, where we settled in before being transported to the hospital. Our first impression of Ratchaphruek hospital was that it was nothing like a hospital. The architecture resembled a modern and grand villa, surrounded by fresh green which I could already feel the energy of healing. From the moment we were greeted by the staff in Thai style with a smile, we felt a warm welcome, unlike the usual cold and rigid atmosphere of a hospital.

The health checkup was extremely smooth and seamless, with the warm hospitality of the nurses, the professional doctors, and specialists explaining anything I needed clarification on. The doctors spared no details when explaining the health checkup results, and left me with no confusion. What surprised me was that I could meet a medical specialist immediately after seeing the result without a long waiting time. I have had an annual check-up elsewhere; however, no other hospital offers comprehensive medical care beyond the check-up. My experience with Ratchaphruek Hospital was the most effortless and pleasant medical experience in my life.
