Description The Integrated Weight Management Programme at Ratchaphruek Hospital provides a comprehensive and personalized approach to weight loss, designed to meet the unique needs of each patient. Our program is spearheaded by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including an endocrinologist, dietitian, physiotherapist, and a dedicated nurse. This team collaborates to create a safe, effective, and tailored weight management plan for individuals diagnosed with obesity or those who are overweight with associated chronic diseases. <Who is suitable> - Adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27.5 or above. - Patients with chronic diseases who are overweight (BMI 23 or above) are also encouraged to enroll. <Programme Features> Part I: Initial Assessment and Consultation - Endocrinologist’s Physical Examination & Consultation: Two visits to assess metabolic health and identify any underlying issues. - Nurse Assessment & Body Composition Analysis: Initial screening to establish baseline health metrics. - Investigation Report: Comprehensive reporting on findings from initial assessments. - Ultrasound Examination (USG Upper Abdomen) and Cardiac Examination (Electrocardiogram) to evaluate organ health. - Laboratory Tests: Includes CBC, Liver Function Test, Renal Function Test, Lipid Profile, Fasting Glucose, Haemoglobin A1c, TSH, Calcium levels, Inorganic Phosphates, Routine Urinalysis, and the Cortisol – Overnight Dexamethasone Suppression Test (ONDST). Part II: Ongoing Management - Endocrinologist Consultation: Follow-ups at 1st, 3rd, and 6th month. - Dietitian Programme: Five sessions over 6 months to tailor diet plans that are realistic and sustainable. - Physiotherapy Programme: Initial 6 visits over the first 6 months focusing on developing effective exercise habits.
